More and more high performance full automation production lines are used in modernized lumber producing process from preparing lumber log to the finished product. Precise measuring systems can enhance the production output and quality greatly during the full speed wooden processing. The wooden processing system needs to decide precisely on the optimized route to cut out the wooden board vertically according to the measured data. Therefore the process needs great deal of calculation, which requests a much more powerful processor. The requirement is very difficult to be met by the traditional PLCs. Most lumber processing equipment manufacturers is confronted with a dilemma: either continuously improving the productivity or reducing the cost. The hardware for the traditional PLCs needs bigger electrical cabinets and more complicated software during their upgrade, which leads to low utility of software and space.
